Planning a wedding can be stressful, making sure everything runs to plan, and putting your trust in the people to organise it can make it feel like you have a million tons on your shoulders. Lets look at what Wayne brings to your wedding day and why he is the number one choice when looking for a wedding magician.
I get many thank you emails and letters all saying similar things, "My cousin and his workmate did not know anyone else at the wedding and we were worried they would eat the food and then leave. After you performed for them, they started talking and we were thrilled to see them chatting all evening and now they go to football at the weekends".
Check out what others have said about Wayne by clicking here. Making sure everyone is in the perfect place can keep you up nights with worry. Couples always worry that tables with people who do not know each other will not chat or talk, will leave early and will not have a good time. The solution is simple, once you have all the family and close friends planned then you are left with the 2nd tier guests, just put them anywhere and let Wayne know which tables are the ones you are concerned about. Book Wayne now and watch your stress levels disappear.

It seems that nowadays there are lots of websites that offer to get you quotes and information to supply you with the best service provider for almost any industry. It started with trust-a-trader and now we have many similar sites, the premise is easy, fill in a form and it will be sent to hundreds of people who will match the criteria of the form you filled in. Now these sites might seem like a great idea, simple, easy to use and time saving but will it find you the best people? Is it really the best option?
If you book through an agency or directly with the entertainer then you have someone you can complain to if they do not provide the service they promise, but websites like this offer no chain of communication. What is the answer? How do I make sure I am looking at the right people? The best way to find good people is to look for them yourself. Here are some simple tips to get you speaking to the right people.
I have a whole page dedicated to quotes I have received and you can view it here. I also have a page recommending other providers who will give you the best quality service in the industry, check them out here. A simple post on facebook asking for a disco, magician etc will get your friends tagging options to look at. Once again DO NOT just click the first one, but check out all the options and look at what others say about them via review sites or quotes on their own site. If you are not sure about the validity ask if they have any clients you could speak to.

So lets get this started, Thats me on the right with the super cool patterned shirt and a cool curtain haircut, ahead of my time in 1980 (aged 5) Between the years 1995 and 2000 I worked on 12 ships for 5 different cruise companies around Europe and Scandinavia. On the left is myself and the best children's entertainer I have ever worked with Paul "Taz" Marlow, you can check him out here. The picture on the right has myself and another Paul, this time Paul Marklew, the best singer / Songwriter I have ever met, You can check him out here. The picture below right is myself on stage playing (ahem) bass guitar for their band - "The Louis McCoy Band. I have lived and worked in a huge list of countries, including Spain - Germany - France - Belgium - Holland - Denmark - Sweden - Norway and Finland. 2017 is my 30th year in magic, and I am so proud that my daughter also has a love for magic

I am so lucky in my job to work for some amazing people, I get to interact with them on the best day of their lives and I am honoured to be involved in their special day. I also get to work alongside some of the most amazing people, some I see as part of the preparation process and at wedding fayres and some I see on the day as we are all a part of the wedding day machine.
Everyone has a camera on their phone, so its a common misconception that anyone can take a picture, well that may be true, but not everyone can take a picture that captures a moment, that is why we have professional photographers.
If you are planning a wedding, have just got engaged or for any reason you may need a photographer then contact Juan via his website www.cambsweddingphotography.com
1 - Professional vs Amateur. Does the magician have much or any experience working at professional events? You only get one chance to make the day perfect so make sure you put your trust in the hands of someone who is not only capable but also experienced enough to be able to handle the pressure on the day. Ask for references or quote and / or ask for a one-to-one consultation so that you can see first hand what and who you are booking. It is also worth asking if the performer has any public events you could attend to view. Getting written confirmation of the booking is so important. Organising a wedding or event can be very stressful and you want to know you have everything organised down to the last detail. A confirmation or contract should list all the details you have agreed on including the location of the event, the times required (including set up and pack down times if necessary), the dress code and of course the fee. If you ask for a confirmation and you are told that "Yes I can do one if required" or "sure I will knock one up for you", you should ask yourself why it is not mandatory to send one. If you do not have in writing the full agreement then any discrepancies arising at or after event will be difficult to clarify and resolve. Always demand on a confirmation. No one wants to think about anything bad happening at a wedding or function but accidents can happen, a glass of wine knocked over or something knocked and broken can leave big repair or cleaning bills for someone to pay. Most wedding venues require proof of this before allowing the performer to work at the venue. Every professional performer should have P.L.I. of at least £5M, members of Equity automatically get covered for £10M. Make sure when enquiring that the magician is covered. There are many different styles in magic, just as there are many different types of event, and you want to make sure the two line up. The easiest way to do this is by speaking to the magician and explaining your event, a professional should be able to tell you the best options and if they are the best choice. Above all you want someone who will be entertaining and build a rapport with the guests at your special day. Before a magician can quote a price we need to know a few pieces of information: Date of event: Is it a peak date or a special date? Working on Christmas day is more expensive than a random Tuesday in April.
I am very lucky in my profession to meet some of the most creative and original people, not just magicians but also among the suppliers of services and goods for my customers, clients and friends. People who know me, will know that I only recommend the best of the best, when I put my name to a service provider you know they will deliver above and beyond the rest. Graham and Rachel, owners of Regency Cakes are amazing cake makers. They have just opened up a brick and mortar shop in Exning, just outside newmarket so you can go and have a chat and discuss any requirements directly with them. The cakes not only taste amazing but they have such a beautiful visual appeal as well, and you can see just from the ones I have shared here that they can cater for any event or style of show. You only need to look at this cake to know you are looking at the work of true artistes.
I encourage all my customers to check Regency Cakes out and their facebook page too and my other recommendations |
